Job Description

The roles main responsibilities will include:

- Reporting and budgeting

- Statutory reporting (Charities SORP, Companies Act 2006 etc.)

- Accounts payable for the group

- Taxation

- Financial Control

- Treasury Management

- Other aspects of the role will include ensuring finance systems are fit for purpose and capable of meeting the needs of the business; compliance reporting to relevant bodies such as the Charity commission; Responsible for the administration of insurance under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer; Management, training and development of staff; deputising for the Head of Finance where required.

The Successful Applicant

Essential Qualifications: Qualified ACA or CIMA

Essential Knowledge & Skills:

- Background in Industry Finance

- Management responsibility

- Relevant previous experience in this type of role within a complex group of companies

- Evidence of a partnering approach to finance

- Staff management experience

- Ability to work with external auditors and suppliers

- Finance systems experience

Desirable knowledge & skills

- Charity background; finance and taxation

Key competencies & behaviours

- Able to communicate with people at all levels of the business

- Change Management

- Commercially aware approach to finance and accounting

- Enthusiasm & Drive: This is a key role within a dedicated and hardworking team. It is vital that the individual is positive and focused in their approach, and provides support and encouragement to others in the team as appropriate

What's on Offer

Salary - £55,000 per annum

Hours - 37.5 per week Monday to Friday
