Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cash Flow forecasting
  • Rent reviews and lease renewal negotiations
  • Reviewing and improving upon process and procedures
  • Daily Banking report and query resolution
  • Maintaining Prepayments and fixed asset register (one or both may go to Accounts Assistant)
  • Final approver of payment runs and salary payments
  • First point on contact for all IT matters and be the first contact with external contractors
  • Main point of contact for auditors
  • Main point of contact for bank
  • Creation of management accounts pack at month end
  • All balance sheet reconciliations at month end
  • VAT submission
  • Rebate monitoring and approval
  • Cover for all other members of the team to include processing purchase and sales ledger invoices where necessary
  • All one off reports as requested by other departments
  • Acting as a guide/teacher to all other members of staff
  • Keeping up to date with all HR changes

The Successful Applicant

Essential Skills:

  • Full membership of relevant body (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • 1-5 years PQE

Desirable Skills;

  • Retail experience
  • Ability to deal with high levels of purchasing invoices
