Job Description

  • Monthly and annual profit and loss and balance sheet production
  • Produce reports
  • Validate revenues and expenditures
  • Manipulate data (Excel)
  • Make comparison of actuals to forecast
  • Produce corrections to actuals
  • Assessment and creation of accruals
  • All these activities driven from integrated information system - SAP

Balance sheet control & Forecasting

  • Liaise with Shared Services Centre to ensure fully reconciled accounts
  • Physical reconciliation of locally controlled accounts
  • Highly detailed forecasting, planning and analysis of all business areas
  • Seek relevant input from other Heads of Departments e.g. cost drivers and key non-financial data
  • Regular financial assessment of proposed strategic investment regarding equipment investment and other investment acquisitions
  • Liaison with Head of Finance & Commercial to ensure strategic financial objectives are met
  • Ensure accurate and timely forecasting for latest estimates are delivered

Management Accounting

  • Compare actuals v forecast
  • Overall responsibility for the Management Account function to ensure a timely and accurate month end result
  • Provide reactive and proactive support

The Successful Applicant


  • Essential - ACCA qualified (or CIMA)
  • Essential - Microsoft Office packages specifically Excel to an advanced level
  • Desirable - Knowledge and experience of using SAP


  • Excellent communication skills for presentation of information both verbally and in written format.
  • Project management skills which will be required for organisation of workflow and specific projects such as being part of new till roll-out system
  • People management with focus on successfully co-ordinating the work of others alongside own workload and motivating teams
  • Attention to detail to evidence accuracy in all work produced
  • Commercial acumen to maintain up-to-date specialist and market knowledge
    Ability to forge productive working relationships which will advance the work of the team and aid remote working


  • 4+ years' experience of FMCG / B2B sector
  • Managing and developing small teams
