My client is one of the UK's largest independent marketing agencies and continues to grow in and out of Central London. They have one a number of prestigious awards within the industry are looking for a Financial Controller to join who will be essential for the continued growth of the company. Job Description

The Financial Controller will have a highly visible role across the group and across divisions , in particular in supporting subsidiary companies and client facing teams. The responsibilities will include but will not be limited to the following:

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts for two subsidiaries
  • Finance partner to London agency client facing teams and responsible for financial management of client revenues
  • Monthly client performance analysis for presentation to client leads
  • Management of client forecasts
  • Finance partner to business development group
  • Monthly performance analysis of sales monitor for business development leads
  • Member of Operations Management Group
  • Monthly performance analysis re operational data
  • Assist the FD in the identification of risks and drive process and control improvements to increase efficiency within the finance team
  • Assist the FD with preparation of internal and external audits
  • Management and development of three staff (two in London; one in Newbury)
  • Maintain up to date procedure documentation
  • Ad hoc projects for COO/FD when required

The Successful Applicant

The suitable candidate will have the following skills & experience:

  • Newly Qualified (ACA/CIMA/ACCA)
  • Numerate, coupled with good verbal and communication skills
  • Strong computer skills including advanced Microsoft Excel
  • Strong communicator and able to communicate to stakeholders at all levels
  • Significant staff management experience
  • Analytical and enquiring approach
  • Positive outlook
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong work ethic
  • Team player
  • Enjoys making things happen
