Reporting to the CFO the main responsibilities of the Financial Controller will include preparation of the annual financial statements; management of the annual budgeting process including liaising with individual departmental heads; preparation of the group consolidated accounts; management of the daily and weekly cash flow and bank reconciliations. As a newly created position the successful candidate will also be heavily involved in the establishment and implementation of internal controls and processes including reviewing existing financial systems.
The Successful Applicant
Applicants for the Financial Controller position will hold a full accountancy qualification. The role would be particularly well suited to candidates looking to make their first or second move out of public practice. The client will be as equally interested in candidates from a commercial background especially if they have worked in an SME Professional Services environment.
