This organisation also provides many other services, such as market data to assist clients with trading decisions and technology services to optimize trading environments.

Job Description

The responsibilities of Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst role must be able to:

  • Prepare weekly financial and operating metrics and daily revenue/volume report.
  • Prepare detailed monthly management reports and variance analysis.
  • Understand, analyse, and report on key variances between Actual, Budget and Forecast.
  • Participate in budgeting and forecasting process, in particular populating Budget/Forecast templates
  • Provide accounting support and back-up for key Revenue processes.
  • Partner with the accounting team on month-end close activities, driving accuracy and completeness of the financial results as presented in the management reporting deck.
  • Prepare quarterly board papers.
  • Prepare quarterly VAT and FCA returns.
  • Perform ad hoc financial analysis to support business decisions.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate for the Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst role will be:

  • 3 years minimum of relevant management reporting experience.
  • Good technical accounting training and capabilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel
  • Strong MS Office skills including Word and Powerpoint.
  • Financial Services experience desirable but not essential.
  • Experience with month-end financial close processes.
  • Numerate and methodical with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Process oriented with excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Excellent performance accountability orientation following through on commitments and deadlines.
  • Very good interpersonal and communication skills.

What's on Offer

This role will initially be a 6 month FTC, followed by a permanent position. Although my client has offices worldwide, this role will be based in their office in the City of London.
