About Our Client

The Global External Reporting Team in London is part of the central finance function that supports the companies network across the globe. The team is responsible for preparing statutory accounts, including consolidations, for the UK firm and Global entities. The team also provides technical accounting advice to global finance leadership in support of decisions impacting the network. The team's position within the global finance function gives team members exposure to senior management and results in a variable and wide-ranging workload. The team is motivated, friendly and supportive and well-regarded within global finance.

Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for a Financial Reporting Manager to join the team to focus on the preparation of the statutory accounts for global entities and providing IFRS technical support to leadership and member firms. This role will involve preparation of accounts for Global entities incorporated in the UK. This will involve consolidation and working closely with colleagues around the world. The role is ideally suited to someone wishing to make their first move out of an audit background.


  • Preparation and review of statutory accounts and other board reporting for Global entities
  • Close liaison with external auditors
  • Liaison with Global finance teams in the UK, Europe, US and Hong Kong and shared service team based in Bangalore
  • Identification and resolution of IFRS technical accounting issues
  • Assist in the production of IFRS policies for the business globally

The Successful Applicant


  • Some travel may be required to assist with the year end statutory accounts and audit process.
  • Technically very strong with a good understanding of IFRS.
  • Prior experience of consolidation
  • Analytical mindset
  • Proficiency in excel to an advanced level of data manipulation. Experience of other Microsoft products would be an advantage.
  • Proactive, and can operate independently
  • Ability and commitment to work under pressure, including willingness to work evenings and weekends at peak times
  • Attention to detail
  • Communicates effectively across countries and with senior management
  • Good interpersonal skills with proven ability to build networks with a broad spectrum of other people
  • Flexibility and ability to juggle several demands at once
  • Team player
