Job Description

To be responsible for the procurement of goods and services in the FM, Energy, Corporate Services and Finance spend categories covering strategic category management reviews and the delivery of short to long term cost improvements. To ensure that key supplier performance meets SLA's and that stakeholder issues are resolved.

Main responsibilities:

  • Implementation of strategic category management plans to deliver business requirements of security of supply, quality, and service and cost benefits.
  • Support the development of strategic sourcing plans, including business requirements; spend analysis, risk analysis and strategic tools.
  • Responsible for the identification and delivery of benefits from tactical activity with suppliers, including specification, reviews, eRFX/eAuctions and price negotiation.
  • Responsible for ensuring that an approved legal contract is in place for each significant supplier and added to the contract database.
  • Responsible for supplier performance management and continuous improvement, including cross functional performance reviews with key suppliers.
  • To analyse RFP's, RFI's and RFQ's present to internal stakeholders & or project groups.
  • To Lead & Direct Internal Stakeholders through the procurement process, change management, supplier reporting & opportunity identification & realisation.

The Successful Applicant

The Category Manager should have a strong track record of success within FM, Corporate Services and Finance, preferably with a focus on the FM Category. They will have demonstrable experiences in managing a full procurement service, including formulation of policies and procedures, engaging with executive and board level stakeholders, influencing decisions and stream-lining best practice procurement, managing the bid process from end to end and holding accountability for identifying new opportunities for cost saving.
