About Our Client

Leading luxury retailer looking for a Procurement Category Manager with background and experience in FM /Store Development Head (experience within Construction background is a must) reporting into the Head of Group Procurement.

Job Description

  • Implementation of strategic category management plans to deliver business requirements of security of supply, quality, and service and cost benefits.
  • Support the development of strategic sourcing plans, including business requirements; spend analysis, risk analysis and strategic tools.
  • Support the procurement function in different spend categories when required
  • Responsible for the identification and delivery of benefits from tactical activity with suppliers, including specification, reviews, eRFX/eAuctions and price negotiation.
  • Responsible for ensuring that an approved legal contract is in place for each significant supplier and added to the contract database.
  • Responsible for supplier performance management and continuous improvement, including cross functional performance reviews with key suppliers.
  • Active management of key internal stakeholders to ensure that business requirements are met and short term issued resolved.
  • Ensure compliance with all procurement policies and procedures.
  • Input into category and sub-category strategies reflecting external market conditions whilst optimising the cost of ownership to deliver sustainable strategic direction for the business.
  • Develop effective relationships with key internal customers to increase their awareness of procurement and support for procurement initiatives.

  • Good PC literacy (word, excel and preferably SAP)

  1. Total Cost Savings - Capital & Operational Expense
  2. The aggregate amount of money Procurement saves by reducing the TCO from one year to the next, directly fed back to the P&L
  3. Quality Assurance
  4. Working within the supply chain to improve the quality of a product & or service.
  5. Delivery
  6. This KPI measures how well the Procurement department gets what the client needs when it needs it i.e. Delivery to promise date
  7. Cost Avoidance
  8. These 'soft' costs turn into 'hard' costs in the future, provide the client with a accurate forecasts with future fixed pricing
  9. Implemented Cost Saving Reductions
  10. This KPI measures negotiated savings that have actually been realised & implemented by Harrods Ltd.
  11. Procurement ROI
  12. This is measured by comparing implemented costs savings to the departments operating budget.
  13. Spend Under Management
  14. Current 'Best in Class' Procurement departments influence & or manage approx. 85% of an organisations indirect spend
  15. Contract Compliance This KPI measures compliance to contract service level agreements (SLA's), contract terms & conditions, and pricing agreements
