Day 1 for day 2 food manufacture based in Coventry

Job Description

    • To support Production departments in real time decision-making.
    • To plan and communicate to Production departments on a weekly basis through the weekly brief plan expectations and information of interest from the supply chain function.
    • To create and maintain bill of materials on Oracle and other data systems required to produce finished products.
    • To monitor and report on Order Fulfillment / Plan Attainment / Plan Adherence and stock cover of the pre-pack facility for the site KPI's.
    • To manage the forecast received at the site and facilitate its conversion into a Daily & Weekly Plan, taking into consideration Cycle and Dwell times in order to optimise stock holding and production lines.
    • To assume responsibility for the administration of Event Management at the site (implementation gatekeeper) in a timely and accurate fashion building all requirements into the planning arena
    • To generate and analyse weekly and monthly key performance indicators for all aspects of the supply chain function identifying key trends and issues
    • To represent the supply chain function at the Daily Performance Review and present a review of the last 24 hours performance & review the plan for the rest of the shift block to the shift manager and SLT.
    • To contribute significantly to the achievement of 100% service level for the site whilst achieving a cost effective finished goods and material stock level.
    • To challenge the production teams in relation to efficiency, plan attainment, changeovers, and flexibility.
    • To support Marketing / R&D in projects and upcoming product changes.
    • To Facilitate a twice per period count of all packaging components and investigate large swings in value and present findings to the finance team
    • To deliver weekly planning meeting to share with the SLT issues and opportunities in relation to the supply chain function as well as chair a review of shift and site performance.
    • To support Materials planning requirements when holiday / sickness cover is required.
    • To analyse periodically assumed run rates for the site and by utilising empirical data gathered from various systems update the finished goods planning targets for the site accordingly.

    The Successful Applicant

    Knowledge & Experience Required

      • Preferably educated to Degree level (or equivalent) in preferably supply chain, logistics, or business.
      • Knowledge of sound stock management and supply chain processes - demonstrable evidence.
      • Knowledge of practical statistics for process control and analysis purposes.
      • Good systems skills including warehouse and planning systems plus PC skills. (spreadsheet, word processing, databases).
      • Ability to reason logically and present findings in an orderly fashion.
      • Ability to prioritise and understand the bigger picture within the site e.g. the total process flow
      • Ability to communicate with and influence on supply matters.
      • Ability to challenge and support challenges at multiple levels across the business to ensure an effective supply chain at Nuneaton
