My client is a real estate fund manager with offices based in the City of London.

Job Description

The Fund Accountant will be responsible for:

  • Analytical review of quarterly investment forecasts and financial models; assistance with preparation of investor reporting
  • Liaising with local partners, investment directors and overseas office and implement effective information flow for accurate reporting.
  • Managing and responding to investor requests
  • Responsibility for and maintenance of the general ledgers of the Funds and review work of Assistant Fund Accountant and Junior Accountant
  • Preparation of the quarterly management accounts and annual audited IFRS financial statements
  • Day to day accounting and preparation of financial statements in local GAAP for various investment holding entities, limited companies and partnerships.
  • Implementing improvements in the financial statements reporting process.

The Successful Applicant

The successful Fund Accountant will be:

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant
  • Good knowledge of accounts preparation under IFRS and UK GAAP, inc FRS102
  • Be able to work autonomously and to take initiative
  • Be flexible and able to work to tight deadlines
  • Is able to demonstrate key analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • High level of excel literacy is essential
  • Experience of process review and improvement a benefit
  • Financial Services background

What's on Offer

This will be a 3 month contract role with the potential for a permanent opportunity afterwards. This role will start as soon as possible.
