My client is a growing Hedge Fund which specialises in foreign exchange, rates, credit and equity, and associated derivatives.

Job Description

The Fund Accountant will have the following responsibilities:

  • Daily P&L production
  • Weekly NAV estimate production
  • Month end NAV sign off
  • Manage the relationship with administrator, prime brokers and counter-parties
  • Monitor and stay up to date on all aspects of the regulatory environment
  • Regulatory reporting obligations
  • Ability to deal efficiently with front office requests
  • Cash and Collateral management

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

  • 2:1 or higher degree from a highly regarded university
  • A number of years experience in a similar Fund Accountant role
  • Product exposure across various asset classes, including FX, rates and credit would be an advantage
  • Fund accounting experience or good knowledge of the processes involved
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Attention to detail is of paramount importance
  • Strong communication and problem solving skills
  • Financial Services background (Ideally Hedge Funds)

This is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract covering a maternity leave. This role is extremely diverse and will provide exposure to all areas of the business. This is an exciting role and the successful individual will have to adapt to a fast paced environment immediately and have high regard for attention to detail and accuracy. This role will be based in my clients offices in the City of London.
