About Our Client

The organisation is a growing charity based in York.

Job Description

The post holder will play a key part in promoting the orginastion across the north of England, raising the profile and increasing funds. In summary:

  • develop a broad fundraising portfolio to diversify and maximise income streams;
  • research funding opportunities with trusts and foundations and manage applications;
  • develop the existing giving scheme and manage and update databases to record donor contact and preference information;
  • develop the Trust's corporate sponsorship and increase funds in this area; and
  • work with the Trust Director and Trustees to grow the Trust's major donor profile.

The Successful Applicant

Knowledge and understanding of a wide range of fundraising sources.

Knowledge of the charity sector and the challenges and opportunities that face small charities.

Minimum 2 years' experience in a related/transferable field or role.

A proven track record of raising funds from a variety of sources, including charitable trusts.

Experience managing donor relationships and building a major donor portfolio.

Some experience of developing a fundraising strategy.
