About Our Client

This organisation is a small health charity that works to improve the lives of others.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility to planning and running the charity's main special event, working in conjunction with the wider team
  • Stewardship of all event participants for both special events and challenge events
  • Work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure all messaging is on brand and communications are consistent and innovative
  • Liaise with external agencies
  • Copywriting engaging content to increase the number of event participants
  • Review the current event calendar and make improvements accordingly
  • Work with colleagues across the organisation to organise other fundraising activities
  • Build excellent relationships with donors both in person and over the phone
  • Ensure stewardship of donors through effective communication plans
  • Take responsibility for the information that appears on the charity's website
  • Keep abreast of all sector updates, including best practise techniques
  • Ensure that supporter care is logged on the charity's database
  • Look for other activities that could be a source of income for the charity and engage people/organisations as appropriate
  • Be an excellent presenter

The Successful Applicant

Person Specification:

  • Experience of working in a fundraising department
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate with donors in an engaging and compelling way
  • Drive to make the charity succeed in its aims
  • Ability to work both collaboratively and alone
  • Confident in talking to people over the phone
  • Experience of using a fundraising database
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office
  • Experience of using social media for a wide audience

This organisation is looking to offer a salary of between £24,000 and £26,000, depending on experience.
