Job Description

As General Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of the full range of Soft Services to this large acute hospital in Kent. With full commercial responsibility for a c£15m P&L, you will oversee the following service lines:

  • Cleaning
  • Catering
  • Portering
  • Linen
  • Waste
  • Pest Control

The above services are delivered through a team of c400 staff for which you will also responsible through the effective management of a senior management team on site whilst reporting to the Divisional Director of London for this business.

A key element of this role will be to foster and develop strong relationships with the client team on site - there are multiple stakeholders who will need to be engaged in order to properly achieve this.

The Successful Applicant

In order to be considered for this role, we are looking for someone who can demonstrate a strong track record in successfully managing and building mutually beneficial client relationships. Securing this contract beyond it's initial five year term is imperative and will require someone of the above calibre in order to do so.

Other pre-requisites include:

  • A strong commercial understanding, with previous experience of managing a P&L in excess of £5m p/a.
  • An appreciation (if not direct experience) of delivering Soft FM services within a Healthcare environment.
  • Previous success in leading and motivating teams to deliver against stringent KPIs and SLAs.
  • A home base within (or the ability to relocate to) a commutable distance of Bromley.
