Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a customer focused site
  • Manage, motivate and develop the team
  • Remain commercially focused at all times
  • Implement change and continuous improvement opportunities
  • Lead and motivate team through any operational change
  • Take a hands on approach
  • Agree financial budgets
  • Accountability for Site P & L
  • Manage projects to agreed costs
  • HR Management including; recruitment, appraisals, disciplinary action, annual reviews
  • Lead regular management meetings to discuss operational performance
  • Ensure all team members have up to date Personal Development Plans
  • Site Health & Safety
  • Ensure operational and legal compliance is achieved

The Successful Applicant

Successful Candidate will ideally have:

  • Must have FMCG or Food distribution experience
  • Strong character
  • Good Motivator
  • Transport experience
  • Good commercial awareness
  • Food experience
  • Strategic mind-set
  • Strong customer service focus
  • Commercial experience
  • Planning & Organisation experience
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Logical thinking
  • Experience implementing continuous improvements initiatives
  • Experience of managing teams over 250-300
  • Ability to lead project work
