About Our Client

My client is an SME within a larger, multi-national business. They are seeking a General Manager for their Midlands-based manufacturing company.

Job Description

The successful individual will supervise, motivate and evaluate the activities of all process teams. Engaging and up-skilling the workforce.

They will be expected to have HSE at the forefront of their priorities as well as promoting a positive image for the company.

The strategic direction, development and achievement of the annual operations profit are an integral part of this role. this will include monitoring the margins and pricing as well as directing the purchasing and procurement team.

Market access and follow-up into relevant clients is a key function of the position as well as reporting to the senior management on critical issues relating to variance on sales and forecasts

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will:

  • Possess a degree or equivalent in engineering, business administration, finance or similar.
  • Extensive experience in an operational leadership role
  • Be action-oriented, have strong customer focus, computing and analytic skills and direct, coach and train reports.
  • Self-motivated, passionate and an eagerness to think outside the box.
