About Our Client
My client is a well established food business with a multi site operation. With a strong people agenda, they have a track record of organically promoting people through the business. Continuous improvement/lean across their sites is a big focus as well as ensuring that their senior managers have continued professional development through internal and external training courses.
This role will involve leading a senior management team that runs a major food manufacturing site ensuring that the site is driving efficiencies, controlling costs and ensuring compliance. Ultimately, you will need to lead from the front, maintaining a hands on management style and living the company values. Being a strong people manager is essential and you will need to be comfortable operating at all levels of the business, whether this is coaching on the shop floor or having a commercial conversation with a retailer.
The Successful Applicant
Proven track record of managing a large food manufacturing site in an operations manager/factory manager/general manager role.
An in depth understanding of cross functional management teams.
Previous experience of working with the major food retailers.
An outstanding and inspirational man manager that can lead from the front.
Continuous improvement/lean management capability.
An excellent communicator capable of interacting at all levels.
The drive, passion and enthusiasm required on a daily basis to drive performance on a fast paced site.
