Job Description

The primary responsibility of the Global Account Manager will be to identify the needs of current and prospective customers by promoting the current pharmaceutical and food solutions portfolio across EMEA.

Further responsibilities include:-

  • Building relationships with a number of different stakeholders, from working with lab technicians all the way up to VP level.
  • Working with Key Accounts to build and execute strategies alongside corporate objectives.
  • Collaborating with Pharma Customer Application Specialists, R&D, marketing and Supply chain to develop profitable solutions.
  • Using industry and territory knowledge with co-suppliers/industry influencers to identify new sales opportunities.
  • Working closely with the Regional Commercial Manager to share market insight and competitive intelligence to capitalise on potential opportunities to increase opportunities/market share.
  • Developing appropriate sales volume, pricing and standard margin forecasts and is able to capitalise on/compensate for market changes via price changes or share gain.
  • Defines annual, value-creating goals for territory consistent with business strategy.
  • Where appropriate, identifies and acts upon cross-selling opportunities that will benefit both the client and customer.
  • Consistently demonstrates sales excellence behaviours and inspires excellence in others to improve effectiveness of market facing activities and quality of customer interactions.

The Successful Applicant

The successful Global Account Manager:-

Will have a strong sales track record selling speciality chemicals, preferably in the pharmaceuticals industry.

Must have excellent commercial skills with the ability to communicate to stakeholders at different levels.

Must be degree educated preferably in either Engineering or Chemistry.

Will be a self starter, with a high degree of perseverance, tenacity and resiliency.

Must be able to think and plan strategically.

Must have a minimum of 5 years technical service or account management experience.

Must be able to travel across Europe and across England.
