Job Description

Global Performance Manager:

  1. Working with the Global Head of Reward and Performance, and in conjunction with both the Global Head of Leadership Development and Global Talent and I&D Manager, support the design of a strong and coherent global performance strategy that aligns with the needs of the business both in the short and medium term.
  2. Partnering with key stakeholders, align the performance, engagement and leadership development strategies to drive performance levels across the business. Identify opportunities to create multi-faceted interventions to enable performance.
  3. Assess and update the performance management framework, processes and tools so they remain relevant to our evolving business context and partner with the HRBP teams to embed these within our business planning and performance processes.
  1. Drive the performance management cycle through the Talent Managers and HRBPs ensuring key activities are understood, embedded and actioned including performance reviews, objective setting, calibration and development planning. In conjunction with the Communications team, develop and implement appropriate communications to support the performance management cycle.
  1. Work with the Global Head of Leadership Development to articulate clear performance and capability standards and expectations of the leadership team as a collective and as individuals. In light of these standards, identify performance capability needs across the organisation and propose interventions based on best practice to inform our approach to closing these gaps.
  2. Work with the Global reward analyst to provide specific metrics and benchmarks to enable the development of meaningful insights around the performance agenda and share these organisational wide insights to inform business priorities
  3. Review our Performance Management Systems for both managers and staff so they remain fit for purpose and continue to enable the drive for high performance. Work with other CoE colleagues to ensure all such modules work effectively together to provide an integrated HR system that is easily accessible/user friendly for our business leaders. Work with the Planning and Performance team as the subject matter expert to ensure future releases and enhancement requirements are communicated to them so they can subsequently be managed in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Expertise and experience in the performance arena

Candidate qualities:

  • Knowledge of, and experience in, designing, implementing and maintaining performance processes and approaches
  • Strong leadership capabilities and ability to influence others.
  • Excellent presentation and strong facilitation skills.
  • Evidence of excellent relationship building ability across a wide variety of audiences and situations.
  • Excellent networking and collaboration skills - able to use that network to facilitate benchmarking and best practice research.
  • Experience of managing projects or programs of work.
  • Demonstrate a sound level of commercial acumen to enable effective partnership with business managers and a good appreciation of business needs.
  • Analytical ability, reporting and excel skills
