In order to support us through this period of dramatic growth we require someone to analyse our current offerings and use targeted marketing to improve both acquisition and retention. The role is critical in helping us build from our current strong position to be great in everything we do and realising all the opportunities we have to grow.
Our people are our strongest asset and the development of them is a huge growth opportunity for us. Engaging with our large team and communicating new ways of reaching out to both our current and lapsed customer base will be crucial to the success of this position. We've invested a great deal in developing our internal system. Alongside this, Digital and Social Media and the opportunity that presents for our people to engage with our customers is a key focus.
Another big opportunity for development is building strategic partnerships with large blue chip businesses, tailoring our B2B offering to suit whatever each client's requirements may be. As Global Sales Director you will be required to lead this strategic positioning of new business development.
You will be the face of our client both internally and externally and should feel comfortable in a client facing, leadership role. In addition to this, you will have responsibility for devising our long term strategy
The Successful Applicant
As an individual, you should be focused, driven, polished and commercially astute. You should have a passionate affinity for putting the customer first and delivering a quality service.
You should be capable of getting the best out of others and whilst being comfortable delegating and empowering others, you must also be prepared to get your hands dirty, muck in and be accessible to our people globally as and when required. You should have the ability to motivate and lead a team, possessing a high level of initiative, drive and enthusiasm.
As Global Sales Director you will need to be able to demonstrate a track record in growing an already established business and taking it to the next level.
Our ideal candidate would have prior experience within FMCG, travel, hospitality, software or the service industry within a well-known brand respected for its values and approach to looking after and supporting its people. Based within commutable distance from our client's recently acquired Manchester base, you should be confident operating strategically at Board level whilst being comfortable with working within a flat structure.
