Job Description

The Global S&OP Manager for this engineering business you will have key responsibility for the design, create and development of the S&OP Process to provide operational improvements across the group.

  • Manage, facilitate & develop an S&OP process & be able to provide frank communication to the highest level of Executives & team leaders
  • Prepare, report, and communicate Planning metrics and inventory risks to management (forecast accuracy, inventory plan vs. targets) to ensure collaborative actions to maintain business continuity
  • Collect & analyze demand forecasts by product utilizing best methods (statistical models and software) to drive the monthly S&OP process.
  • Measure the impact of forecast accuracy to help drive continuous improvement to strategic KPI's
  • Assemble and analyze all data pertinent to creating the forecast (historical sales, market trends, seasonality, promotions) and ensuring risks are identified and communicated to process stakeholders
  • Support ad-hoc analytical inquiries & review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results for consumption by cross-functional teams
  • Performs Demand Planning and works with Sales and other key stakeholders to continually refine the forecast model to understand and reflect updated assumptive drivers.
  • Implement & utilize S&OP best practices for collaboration and consensus with field, marketing, supply planning, and finance to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for consensus forecasts.
  • Provide input to the Supply Planning & Procurement Teams in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs.

The Successful Applicant

The job holder will be able to demonstrate



  • A background of 7+ years in master scheduling, forecasting, planning and managing multiple product lines within global organizations with emphasis on supply chain, manufacturing and fulfillment operations.
  • Strong S&OP implementation based background
  • Proven leadership skills that drive organizational and KPI based results.
  • A strategic planner with experience and insight regarding approaches to launching new products who is equally conversant at the tactical level of execution.
  • Experience with Distribution Resource & Manufacturing Resource Planning based planning functionality
  • Project and/or product management experience in leadership roles. Transparent in approach with a strong process-centric background.
  • Solutions oriented and able to identify critical paths with identified risks and create sustainable process
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong relationship to influence cross functional teams.Thrives on building effective business relationships and strong follow up skills.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required, preferably with a focus on global demand management.
