About Our Client

Our client is a large Government Agency based in Coventry and they are seeking an experienced Analyst to join their team on an interim basis.

Job Description

The Google Analytics Performance Analyst role will involve:

- Using data and analytical insight from Google Analytics and wider sources to design and improve digital services that make a difference to people's lives

- Identifying opportunities to maximise the use of data within the design and running of the offered services

- Acting as an integral part of the agile team developing a digital service, whilst working with different digital disciplines including User Researchers, Content Designers and Developers on a range of complex and challenging problems

- Working with services to define measurement frameworks/KPIs that effectively measure the benefits of the department and generate new and useful insight

- Implementing and configuring the analytical tools (primarily Google Analytics for web analytics) used in the collection, analysis and presentation of data

- Lead the analysis of key performance data and analysis for the digital services they are working on, including regular reporting and adhoc analysis

- Translating insight into actions that will continually improve the user experience and increase the benefit

The Successful Applicant

In order to be considered for the Google Analytics Performance Analysis, you must have:

- Qualification in an analytical discipline. Including knowledge of important analytical concepts such as sampling, statistical significance and bias.

-Proven experience of working with Google Analytics including:

- Implementation experience that goes beyond the basic snippet, such as custom tags or virtual page views.

- Taking analysis beyond standard reports through building segments, using custom dimensions and using tools such as the GA plugin for Google Sheets or Excel.

- Experience of making data driven recommendations to improve digital services.

- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to quickly develop recommendations based on the quantitative and qualitative evidence gathered via web analytics and other digital sources.

- Proven track record of ability to translate technical concepts to a non-technical audience, including senior management.

- Demonstrable experience with data analysis, web analytics and visualisation tools e.g. Excel, Google Sheets, R etc.

- Proven track record of maximising the value of data, from gathering data and performing analysis through to dissemination and presentation of results.

- Ability to lead and champion working effectively across Departmental and other boundaries.

- Strong interest in and passion for developing and delivering digital services.
