My client is a leading UK Law firm with one of the largest teams of lawyers in the South outside London.

Job Description

The Role

Key responsibilities/attibutes of the role include:

  • Event management - working with the Head of Marketing to assist in the creation, planning, management and delivery of both client and internal events (including seminars, workshops, corporate hospitality and conferences) and creating imaginative cost effective event solutions. To ensure bespoke/targeted event lists are created for each event, providing lawyers with background research on attendees for events/hospitality, and ensuring appropriate action/follow up is undertaken post event.
  • Marketing collateral- to assist with the creation, production and updating of all marketing materials. Producing and co-ordinating a variety of both online and off line marketing activities in accordance with the firms' brand and house style guidelines. Distribution of these materials through e-mail marketing, the firm's website and social media platforms as appropriate.
  • Marketing plans and activities - working closely with the Head of Marketing to be involved in the planning and implementation of marketing plans at both a firm-wide and practice level, and having the opportunity to plan, develop and execute marketing communications campaigns..
  • Legal Directories and Award entries - to work directly with the practice areas to provide support in preparing submissions to the main legal directories and other firm-wide award submissions (The Legal 500, Chambers UK, British Legal Awards).
  • working alongside our PR agency to assist with PR/media campaigns and managing the reporting of press mentions and editorial coverage on both the website and intranet platforms.

Website - working with the Digital Marketing Executive to ensure the events section of the firm's website and intranet are kept up to date.

  • Other ad hoc projects and duties as directed by the Head of Marketing

The Successful Applicant

Qualifications and Experience

Person Specification

The successful candidate will be a self-motivated and assertive graduate, with excellent oral/verbal communication, organisational and administrative skills. They will possess the ability to work effectively and accurately under pressure, often on several projects at a time. They will also require a team-focused attitude, a high attention to detail, and IT proficiency (in Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook).


The candidate will have responsibility for a wide range of projects and the role would ideally suited to someone with 2-3 years' experience in marketing and with experience of managing events. Experience of working within the professional services environment would be an advantage, along with CIM qualification (although not essential).

What's on Offer

A salary is on offer of up to £30,000 per annum + package.
