Job Description

The Group Finance Manager will be responsible for leading the finance function, ensuring it is well organised and continuously striving for excellence.

She/he will be responsible for developing a team of 7 staff to ensure best practice within the finance department. It is envisaged the successful candidate will be a Finance Manager of the highest calibre.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage, support and develop a team of 7
  • Responsible for overseeing production of monthly management accounts for the board including commentary
  • Manage preparation of internal management reports. e.g. monthly revenue flash and Senior Management Team report
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting cycle
  • Main point of contact for year-end Audit
  • Oversee invoicing, banking and debt collection
  • Manage treasury and forex
  • Responsible for all local compliance including VAT and tax filings across all group companies
  • Continuous improvement of financial procedures and controls
  • Review of accounting system currently used and assess potential Cloud based accounting systems
  • Adhoc tasks assigned by Line Manager

The Successful Applicant

You'll be ACA qualified with a strong academic record including good A-Level results and a degree from a reputable UK university.

You will have proven industry experience and strong technical accounting skills, you will have proven management experience (minimum of 3 direct reports)

Other skills required include:

  • Experience of working in an international Financial Management role with the ability to lead a team and drive improvements
  • Highly intelligent and articulate individual with the ability to communicate clearly to senior management
  • Willing to adapt to changing priorities, and flexible enough to respond to the demands of a growing and non-hierarchical organisation
  • Experience of driving process and reporting improvements
  • Excellent presentation and analytical skills and technical knowledge are essential
  • Capable of building relationships with both key Finance & non-Finance stakeholders
  • A driven individual who is constantly trying to improve systems, procedures and anything that can improve efficiency.
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Previous experience of using Sun Accounts is advantageous
  • Excellent English written and oral communication skills.
