Job Description

  • The role will involve leading the monthly reporting process for the Head of Group Reporting, line management and involvement in a number of projects from the technical accounting perspective. You will be an integral part of the team who are responsible for all aspects of financial reporting. This includes monthly reporting to the Board, external half-yearly and yearly reporting, monthly management accounts, technical consolidation, accounting for acquisitions, together with maintenance of group accounting policy, plus coordination of the annual budget. Overseeing the work of the Group reporting team, including reviewing the highly complex multi-currency IFRS group consolidation.

  • Preparation of the monthly financial reports for management and the Board, together with ad-hoc financial analyses.

  • Lead the implementation of the Infor consolidation tool, including the development of monthly reporting from the tool and ensuring that appropriate controls and review procedures are in place.

  • Responsible for updating and developing the group accounting policies and guidance.

  • Expert on technical accounting issues, providing guidance on accounting queries, including revenue recognition and preparing technical accounting papers for the audit team.

  • Responsible for delivery of the half-year and year-end consolidation and financial statements, including maintaining a working relationship with the Group's auditors.

  • Participation in a range of key business improvement projects.

  • Ad-hoc tasks as required in a fast moving environment.

The Successful Applicant

  • Educated to degree level with a relevant accountaIFRSqualifiIFRSon

  • Experience of working for a listed organisation and group IFRS consolidations

  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and demonstrable experience of advising senior management on financial reporting issues

  • Strong financial reporting skills and a strong understanding of a range of reporting standards under the IFRS

  • Previous experience of working within a Group accounting team

  • Strong excel skills

  • Would suit a big 4 qualified individual with industry experience, or similar
