Group Financial Accountant

The main responsibilities of this role are as follows:

  • Realign long standing intercompany balances from the current counter parties to the Treasury company and instruct teams on necessary journals to post
  • Assess the options available regarding treatment of realigned balances and make recommendations to tax, treasury and company secretarial
  • Support / carry out the chosen option and treatment of realigned balances
  • Support the wider corporate simplification project as directed by the external consultants
  • Development and enhancement of Group intercompany policy and enhance compliance

The Successful Applicant

Group Financial Accountant

The successful applicant will be

  • Strong technical accounting skills. Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CAP) with PQE
  • Inquisitive nature and will be expected to pick up new skills quickly.
  • Have first-hand experience of working in a multinational group finance department in a medium to large company.
  • Degree level educated with a quantitative degree (Accounting, Finance, Economics, Maths) achieving 2:1 or above. Strong focus on attention to detail
  • Good presentation and communication abilities as this role will be group focusing encompassing the Global network
  • Hands on and autonomous
