About Our Client

My client are a global manufacturer and distributor of building products. They have annual group revenues of £200m, with operations in the UK, Europe, US, Dubai and China. This role is based at their Group Head Office, in Elland, West Yorkshire.

This is a one off opportunity to work in an organisation where you will be working closely with the most senior people within a global organisation. It is a fantastic opportunity for an ACA first time mover from practice.

Job Description

The role of Group Financial Analyst is responsible for, but not limited to the following:

  • Ensure that the consolidation of the Group's financial results, budgets and forecasts are accurately produced, on time and in accordance with Group accounting policies
  • Accurately and efficiently consolidate the regular weekly, monthly and quarterly management information reports
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting to the Group Board and external stakeholders such as the Group's lenders and the UK Pension Trustee
  • Support Group Management and the businesses by providing ad hoc management information
  • Help to ensure that a strong control environment is in operation at each business through Internal Audit visits
  • Provide temporary on-site financial support for businesses as and when required
  • Support the Group Finance Manager with the aim of achieving an effective and "clean" annual external audit
  • Ensure full compliance with relevant statutory requirements such as Office of National Statistic returns
  • Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with finance staff in the businesses including Finance Directors and Financial Controllers.
  • Dealing directly with the Executive Group Board members such as the Group Finance Director, Group Counsel and the Group Chief Executive
  • Dealing directly with external contacts including the Group's lenders and advisors

The Successful Applicant

The candidate must be fully ACA qualified and degree educated. You must be highly competent with excel, a strong communicator and comfortable dealing with both finance and non-finance managers. You must have a close attention to detail and enthusiasm and drive.
