Their recent expansion into the Far East, most notably China and Japan is expected to deliver even higher profitability in the future which in turn has created a very exciting opportunity to join the current finance team.

Their global footprint and the fact that my client have a high-proportion of non-UK earnings has also helped to improve performance post Brexit.

Job Description

Now seeking a high calibre Senior Finance Manager/Financial Controller to assist with the companies exciting growth plans. The role is expected to transition to a Head of Finance/FD role within the next 24 months when their CFO retires.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Manage, support and develop a team of 7
  • Responsible for overseeing production of monthly management accounts for the board including commentary
  • Manager preparation of internal management reports including monthly revenue flash and Senior Management Reports.
  • Assist in budgeting & forecasting cycle
  • Main point of contact for year-end Audit
  • Oversee invoicing, banking and debt collection
  • Manage Treasury & Forex
  • Responsible for all local compliance including VAT and tax filings across all group companies.
  • Continuous improvement of financial procedures & controls
  • Review of accounting system currently used and assess potential Cloud based accounting systems.
  • Ad-hoc project work.

The Successful Applicant

What you'll need to be successful:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) with proven industry experience and strong technical accounting skills
  • Team management experience is crucial.
  • Experience of working in an international Financial Management role with the ability to lead a team and drive improvements
  • Highly intelligent and articulate individual with the ability to communicate clearly to senior management
  • Willing to adapt to changing priorities, and flexible enough to respond to the demands of a growing and non-hierarchical organisation
  • Experience of driving process and reporting improvements
  • Excellent presentation and analytical skills and technical knowledge are essential
  • Capable of building relationships with both key Finance & non-Finance stakeholders
  • A driven individual who is constantly trying to improve systems, procedures and anything that can improve efficiency.
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Previous experience of using Sun Accounts is advantageous
  • Excellent English written and oral communication skills.
