About Our Client

An opportunity to work for a global business specialising in the distribution of a wide range of products.

Job Description

  • Responsible for key areas of the Group's monthly close process and for the production of key financial content for the Group's external reporting, namely disclosures within the annual report, full and half year interim reporting and quarter end interim management statements.

  • Responsible for the production of relevant, timely and accurate reporting on global financial performance, to be shared with key internal stakeholders including the Board, Senior Executive Team and Global Finance Leadership Team.

  • Responsible for driving and implementing the ongoing development of the Group's internal financial reporting.

  • Lead the global consolidation process for the Group's annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting cycles, developing and managing the overall supporting frameworks and leading the associated reporting (including Board papers).

  • Lead the production of overall Group financial modeling, including sensitivity and scenario analysis, covering Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow and Key Financial/Covenant Ratios.

  • Undertake project work on behalf of the Global Director of Corporate Finance and Head of Group Reporting, Planning & Analysis as necessary.

  • Responsible for providing ad hoc support and guidance to other global finance departments (or business finance teams) as needed on accounting and reporting issues, whilst actively contributing as a technical expert on Corporate Finance assessments of complex accounting issues.

The Successful Applicant

  • Educated to degree level, qualified chartered accountant (ACA/FCA) with minimum 2 years post qualification experience.
  • Excellent financial modelling and reporting development skills
  • In depth knowledge of IFRS financial accounting, up to date with technical pronouncements.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines, delivering consistently accurate information.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with ability to distil key messages/recommendations to colleagues
  • Change agile and highly responsive to a dynamic customer base

Also desirable:

  • Experience within an international organisation with multi-currency consolidations highly desirable
  • Previous experience of Hyperion.
