Job Description

As Group FP&A Manager for Business Partnering, you will be responsible for the following:

Budgets and short term forecasts:

  • Pro-actively manage the forecasting process to achieve reporting deadlines in due time and with quality (accurate financials and proper business insight)
  • Prepare forecasting tools (excel files and power-point presentations) for the OpCos and Group reporting.
  • Review the information provided by the OpCos to ensure high quality information
  • Ensure high interaction between OpCos and Central teams to anticipate key variances and understand business drivers
  • Produce Group forecast summary, financial analysis and business insight and prepare Group Exec and Main Board presentations
  • Work with OpCos, Group Finance Control and IT to enhance the Group Forecasting process
  • Identify opportunities to automate and streamline the current process to improve efficiency in both the OpCos and the centre.



Monthly reporting, quarterly and FY communication:

  • Review the information provided by the OpCos to ensure high quality information.
  • Review submissions and keep close links to OpCo teams in order to provide insightful analyses and assess the level of risk to deliver target.
  • Prepare Outlook and Balance of the year analysis.
  • Work closely with the Group Finance Control team and the Investor Relations team to prepare internal and external communication in relation to Actuals.
  • Regularly challenge the reporting process (content, tools, steps) to improve the service provided to Group Senior management, and in particular the CFO.



5 Year Strategic Plan:

  • Key contributor to the 5 year plan exercise, in particular in the understanding of and the challenge of the assumptions used by OpCos
  • Co-develop with strategy the adequate process and tools to deliver a relevant strategic plan.
  • Liaise with OpCos to ensure a good understanding of the process
  • Ensure strong financial insight (incl scenarios) is available to ensure proper decisions



Strategy projects:

  • Review financial plans from the Group Strategy projects and ensure they are built and interfaced into the five year plan
  • Support the key strategic initiatives (Unified, Digital, store expansion, etc…)
  • Perform detailed strategic analysis of business performance in order to identify opportunities to improve results
  • Measure Return on Capital Employed across the OpCos, down to store and commercial area, and provide insights to the Board that allow sound decisions marking



The Group FP&A Manager reports into the Senior FP&A Group Manager and deals with senior stakeholders on a day to day basis including the Group CFO, Executive Board Members and Divisional Finance Directors.

The Successful Applicant

About you:

  • CIMA or ACA (preferably Big 4) Qualified
  • Minimum 4/5 years post qualified experience
  • International Experience is essential
  • Be open to travelling - we have an international presence and like our employees to meet the overseas teams from time to time
  • Retail Sector Experience would be nice but not essential
  • You will be able to work fast and under pressure, remaining cool, calm and collected
  • You will be a strong business partner with the ability to build relationships finance & operations teams
  • You won't mind challenging senior stake holders
  • Strong analytical skills are a must
