About Our Client

Exciting time to be joining this growing Midlands PLC who has grown and will continue to grow organically and through acquisition.

Job Description

  • Assisting with the development of the group Internal Audit plan, including identification of specific IT areas and systems for potential future audit work and assisting with the development of the audit function and its practices.
  • Taking ownership of internal audit reviews allocated from the Group Plan, carrying out and managing the performance of those internal audit reviews, including the planning and execution of audit work and testing, within agreed timeframes;
  • Maintaining awareness of new IT trends and technologies and where required developing innovative IT audit work programs to meet the future direction of IT within the business and having a self-start attitude to research in order to understand new developments and their application within a rapidly changing IT landscape.
  • Drafting audit reports including findings and recommendations, agreeing implementation actions with management and performing follow up activity on those actions;
  • Maintaining awareness of potential IT and business risks to the Group and providing input into the Group Risk Management Process;
  • Ensuring compliance with Operating and Accounting Polices and Corporate Governance;
  • Liaising with IT functions and management of the Group and subsidiaries;
  • Providing support for other team members and assisting in the performance of data analytics as part of audit reviews and testing; and
  • Assisting with ad hoc investigations, reporting and presentations.

Other requirements:

  • Ability to speak one or more European languages but not essential
  • Knowledge or experience of one of the following IT systems an advantage:
  • Microsoft AX Dynamics
  • Microsoft Navision

The Successful Applicant

The candidate should:

  • hold an information systems audit qualification (CISA or equivalent);
  • have a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience, including internal audit experience;
  • have a thorough understanding IT General controls and system application controls;
  • have a high level of computer literacy and some practical experience of working in an IT role, a good working knowledge of accounting systems and business processes and controls, and data analytics;
  • be able to demonstrate a good knowledge / understanding of Risk Management and Risk Based Auditing;
  • be able to work either on their own or within a team as required, demonstrate initiative and show a willingness to learn and develop their profession;
  • have good interpersonal and communications skills and an ability to relate to experienced IT people and Senior Management;
  • have excellent written, verbal and presentation skills; and
  • demonstrate a keen interest in improving both themselves and the business;

What's on Offer

Up to £75,000 depending on experience + car allowance + pension + health.
