Leading Construction business with a strong presence in South Yorkshire

Job Description

As Group Management Accountant for this South Yorkshire based Construction business you will be responsible for;

  • Review and prepare monthly management accounts for all Corporate entities ensuring balance sheet integrity and variance analysis of P&L
  • Prepare and distribute Corporate department financial performance packs and review monthly results with department heads
  • Consolidate monthly Group Management accounts for review by Group Head of Reporting
  • Review and maintain the integrity of the Group intercompany balances
  • Review and provide monthly commentary on Corporate and divisional overheads for inclusion within the Group board papers
  • Preparation of Group financial schedules for inclusion within the monthly Group board papers
  • Day to day financial control of Corporate entities including supervision of 2 processing staff
  • Prepare monthly 26 week short term cash flows (STCF) for the trading Corporate entities and assist the Group Treasury team review performance versus the Group quarterly forecasts
  • Responsibility to approve Corporate payment runs in line with latest forecasts (STCF)
  • Responsibility for maintaining and developing the Corporate overhead PO system in line with the requirements of the Group
  • Assist and liaise with Corporate department heads to build quarterly forecasts and overhead budgets.
  • Development and preparation of the Group Overhead budget model
  • Financial modelling for the Corporate entities to enable the production of 5 year business plans and quarterly reforecasts
  • Prepare quarterly/year end audit packs for all Corporate entities and liaise with auditors as necessary
  • Responsibility for the maintenance and development of the Group consolidation and management reporting software
  • Assist with the production of subsidiary year end statutory financial statements
  • Provide ad hoc financial support to Corporate departments and divisional businesses
  • Support ad hoc projects undertaken by the Group

The Successful Applicant

The ideal Group Management Accountant in South Yorkshire will be;

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Previous experience within a group accounts environment
  • Experience performing group consolidations
  • Advanced Excel user
  • Knowledge of IFRS
  • Financial modelling experience desirable
