Job Description

The Group Reporting Manager shall be responsible for the following:



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS (include but are not limited to the following):

  • Preparation of the monthly consolidation, reports & reviews. Ensure consolidation is accurate, prepare & review periodic schedules to identify issues & resolve
  • Administration of HFM and the COA maintenance
  • The year end consolidation process including:
  • completion of reporting schedules to French parent company
  • preparation of disclosure notes to the consolidated accounts (and some subsidiaries)
  • liaison with auditors
  • calculation of FRS102 to IFRS adjustments
  • liaison with local accountants to ensure that reporting submissions are in accordance with the required format
    • Calculation and distribution of the monthly sales weighted average P&L & BS exchange rates
    • Liaising with Group Legal & Group Tax for structural rationalisations
    • Responsible for continuous improvement of Group Finance processes to improve efficiency & controls within team and across the group as identified
    • Production and submission of quarterly and annual CSO statistical returns
    • Working on ad hoc projects and providing other assistance where required
    • Financial competitor analysis
    • Calculation and reporting requirements under bank covenants
    • Draft technical guidance or policy updates as needed





The Group Reporting Manager will be based in London.

The Successful Applicant

The Group Reporting Manager:



EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Previous use of Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) or similar consolidation system required and JD Edwards ledger system preferred but not essential
  • Strong multi-currency consolidation knowledge
  • Strong in fundamentals of FRS102 (UK GAAP). IFRS also desirable. Experience in drafting technical papers advantageous
  • Strong in Microsoft suite in particular Excel but also Word, PowerPoint & Outlook
  • Process improvement initiatives & implementation
  • Controls review & reporting to management/internal audit
  • Familiar with concepts for transfer pricing, general corporate tax, intercompany processes.
  • Defined benefit fund accounting advantageous but not essential



KEY ATTRIBUTES:

  • Highly motivated to identify and make improvements to processes & controls
  • High level of responsibility to complete work, communicate issues, ask questions
  • Good organisation skills, ability to prioritise effectively
  • Team orientated, ensures that team deliverables are met to a high standard
  • Effective communicator with financial and non-financial staff (both written and oral)
  • Can rationalise problems and suggest process improvements/action
