My client is a fast growing SME business that is private equity backed and looking to recruit a Group Reporting Manager based in their Head Office in London.

Job Description

Key Areas of Responsibility

Working as part of the Group's small head office finance team with key tasks including:

  • Preparation of Groups consolidated monthly management accounts
  • Profit and loss
  • Balance sheet
  • Cashflows
    • Technical accounting advice for the Group
    • Statutory accounts preparation and coordination including:
  • Preparation of Group's statutory consolidation
  • Group's UK parent consolidated IFRS accounts
  • UK corporate entity accounts (2 entities prepared under UK GAAP)
  • Group consolidated accounts
  • Preparing and communicating group accounting policies to the operating divisions
  • Acquisition accounting assistance, including:
  • Goodwill calculations and impairment reviews
  • Intangible calculations
  • Fair value accounting
  • Treatment of acquisition costs
    • Working capital analysis and evaluation of balance sheet movements
    • Annual review of operating businesses accounting policies and account reconciliations
    • Assistance in group tax planning
    • Tax Group Consolidated returns
    • Other ad hoc tasks and projects

Key Relationships

  • Reporting to the Group Financial Controller
  • Working closely with Group CFO, Corporate Finance Manager, Group Management Accountant, Divisional Finance Directors and Divisional Financial Controllers
  • Auditors
  • Tax advisors

The Successful Applicant

Profile

  • Experienced consolidation manager
  • Ideally 'Big 4' audit background, but should have had at least one or two jobs out of practice
  • 'Hands on role'
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong problem solving ability and 'quick learner'
  • Strong communications skills
  • Ability to develop strong internal relationships
  • Experience working with multi currency and multi location consolidations
  • Strong excel skills

What's on Offer

A basic salary between £60,000 - £70,000 + 10% bonus
