Job Description

Working within the Group procurement team, the Group Supply Chain Manager will be specifically responsible for:

  • Managing procurement projects and categories primarily for the Infrastructure Division, establishing value driven long term stable trading relationships
  • Evaluating new products and services
  • Development and execution of the Project Supply Chain Strategy
  • Act as senior point of contact for Group procurement activities, liaising between the Group Procurement Director, the supply chain and internal stakeholders
  • Managing trading relationships with supply chain
  • Establishing processes that ensure trading agreements deliver their full benefits
  • Managing reporting regimes and interpreting report data
  • Promoting the Infrastructure Division and the Group within the supply
  • Develop, own and maintain a supply chain network, Ensure suppliers are accredited and are aligned with the groups policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for the development and governance of procurement policies and procedures, driving compliance group wide
  • Ensure compliance with corporate and client requirements
  • Support QA with supply chain evaluations
  • Continually review/evaluate products and services and propose changes to the stated strategy as a result of market movements
  • Actively pursue cost savings and cost reductions in the Group supply chain through negotiation techniques
  • Keep abreast of market developments, demand trends and risks
  • Ensure the production of accurate reporting of relevant information, in accordance with group requirements
  • Focus on exceeding service expectations by delivering an agile, value adding service

The Successful Applicant

Experienced within the industry, self-starter, persuasive, a confident and natural communicator at all levels sound commercial acumen and a very competent negotiator.

  • Able to analyse large amounts of complex information and produce coherent summaries, analysis, options, recommendations and conclusions
  • Able to establish processes that maximise supply chain performance
  • Good admin skills with ability to constantly review priorities while achieve objectives in appropriate time scales
  • Sound commercial acumen
  • Good technical knowledge
  • Good negotiation skills
  • The ability to make things happen and drive change
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent IT skills
