Job Description

Reporting to the Head of Finance, with a dotted line to the global CFO also, the successful candidate will be tasked with establishing a robust global Tax function to effectively manage the Tax affairs of the group. You will be taking full responsibility for tax planning and managing risk strategy in line with the organisation's strategic plan. Specifically this will involve:

Provide the company with insight and guidance on their international tax environment
Develop and/or alter the company's tax management and tax planning strategy reflecting the environment
Interpret local law with the support of advisors and recommend best practice or courses of action the business when initiating new business activities
Further developing a robust Transfer Pricing policy for the group
Managing global tax audits in cooperation with regional finance teams
Supporting the Head of Finance, CFO and business in any M&A activity
Developing and maintaining a strong relationship with HMRC

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will ideally be ACA and/or CTA qualified having trained with a reputable firm. The preference will be that you have a good body of in house experience already. However, strong candidates looking for a first move from the profession will also be considered. International Tax planning, management and structuring experience is essential and exposure to Indirect Tax issues will also be advantage in a global multichannel organisation. Experience of setting up Tax function for the first time will also be an advantage but by no means essential.
