Head of Business Transformation - Smart Metering - Utilities - Reading
The Head of Metering Business Transformation is accountable for leading the wholesale transformation of the metering business to achieve the Smart mandate of putting 7.35m meters on customer walls by 2020 and ensure Metering is fit for purpose to meet the future challenges of Digital and Internet of Things.
The role will be responsible for setting the overall business architecture, articulating the business requirements and priorities for projects, assessing business readiness, driving business adoption, and providing specialist change management and project management support to the operation. These changes will require transformation of the traditional Metering business in terms of organisation, business process and the use of new technology.
The Successful Applicant
Head of Business Transformation - Smart Metering - Reading
This role will require a senior transformation leader with a proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale transformation at FTSE100 (or equivalent) organisations. In particular, this individual will be a recognised expert in driving and achieving benefits realisation, creating collaborative working environments and consensus amongst senior stakeholders and creating compelling cases for change and engagement channels that work at all levels of an organisation.
Business Transformation: Proven track record in large scale transformation projects end to end, including business architecture, business readiness and business adoption, preferably in a highly regulated industry (e.g. Utilities, Telecommunications, Financial Services)
Business Architecture and Design Authority: deep design authority, business architecture and requirement-setting skills and experience (expert level)
Operating Model and Process Design: experience of baselining, designing and delivering new operating models and driving process improvement agendas (practitioner level)
Organisational Design (OD): awareness of how OD projects are designed and executed, and understands how OD aligns with wider Operating Model and Strategy (awareness)
Strategy Development: awareness of how Strategy is developed and executed, and understands how Strategy aligns with Business Architecture and Operating Models (awareness level)
Project and Programme Management: proven track record in commissioning, delivering and completing projects to time, cost and quality. PRINCE2 methodology to Practitioner level, PMI PMP preferable
