About Our Client

My client is a leading integrated Marketing agency that specialises in hospitality. They already have established Marketing, PR and Insights departments which have significant presence in their sector. They are now in the process of creating their own in-house digital department to enhance the offering to their clients with the capability to deliver fully integrated marketing campaigns to their clients.

Job Description

The Head of Digital will provide digital consultancy and internal coaching within the agency and externally with clients in order to deliver successful integrated marketing campaigns. Specifically, this will include the following responsibilities:

  • Providing external consultancy and advice to clients to ensure they understand how a fully integrated campaign works and why this would be a benefit to their organisation.
  • The role and limitations of digital technology within an integrated campaign.
  • Extracting the information needed to interface with existing systems and the suppliers already in place.
  • Receiving and interpreting briefs from clients - Including leading these clients through the briefing process to establish a workable brief.
  • Estimating projects to ensure that all aspects of the digital project are included and costed profitably.
  • Producing estimates in conjunction with other departments within the company for integrated campaigns.
  • Recruiting necessary staff with the right qualifications and expertise in order to deliver digital marketing activity.
  • Specifying necessary hardware and software required to deliver digital marketing activity.
  • Sourcing 3rd party suppliers to deliver specific aspects of digital marketing activity that we may not have in-house as and when required.
  • Overseeing delivery of all digital marketing activity to successful conclusion.
  • Invoicing for completed projects on a monthly basis to agreed billing targets.

  • Will have worked as a Digital Director / Head of Digital / Digital Manager in a marketing or digital department.
  • Will be commercially focused and understand the opportunities and pitfalls presented by digital marketing
  • Be able to sell digital solutions to clients using a consultative approach by winning client's trust and respect
  • Be able to build strong relationships internally within the company and be able to work as part of a fully integrated team
  • Have a sound understanding of the technical aspect of digital marketing and be able to explain things to non-technical people in a clear and concise manner
  • Be a good communicator and strong team player
