Job Description

As Head of Finance - Shared Service Centre you will be a key member of the team involved in transitioning entities and countries into the European Finance SSC

  • Work towards optimisation of the transactional finance operations, management reporting and control processes that are in use within the European Finance SSC.
  • Establish KPIs and analytics to effectively measure the performance of the Shared Services function as well as other Finance functions.
  • Develops recommendations and action plans to support growth and eliminate or mitigate observed risks.
  • Works in concert with Finance Teams to develop dashboards that display departmental health
  • Develop and report on KPI's that measure improvements and prepare the Shared Services for future growth. Track progress against business plan, identify any deviations and suggest plans to remediate; provide reports and analysis as required.
  • Develop and manage Service Level Agreements including periodic reviews for improvement opportunities
  • Provide support to Business Unit Finance representatives in regard to questions and issues related to delivery of SSC Services
  • Maintain a register of all logged process improvement suggestions, prioritising with management, and then developing action plans to tackle the projects. Working with the SSC to carry out these plans and then regular reporting of progress. Drive these projects to conclusion with limited management involvement.
  • Line management of the transactional finance teams (AP, Payroll/Cashiering and Credit Control)
  • Maintain procedures and controls documentation.
  • Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing publications, etc.
  • Ensure a metric driven focus on processes & technology enhancements. Evaluate and measure the effectiveness of improvements.
  • Form strong collaborative relationship with key NA SSC personnel to identify and implement improvement initiatives across all SSC areas.
  • Facilitates and conducts root cause analysis to determine the underlying drivers behind performance gaps. Root cause may include on site observation, interviews, and process documentation.
  • Develops presentations and discussion documents to highlight business issues and opportunities for executive level review.
  • Leads efforts to identify future efficiency opportunities; including but not limited to: conducting ROI analysis, prioritizing initiatives and measuring results.
  • Will be the finance lead for the implementation of certain tools designed to improve overall performance.
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned.
