About Our Client

Our client are a leading consumer finance business specialising in credit cards.

Job Description

The Head of Financial Controls Framework role will be responsible for:

  • Finance Governance: responsible for the production of finance process mandates, this includes any input into the formal governance structure reporting as well as performance management with agreed external/internal customers/suppliers.
  • Maintain up-to-date policies and procedure mandates and ensure all changes are captured and periodic reviews are undertaken
  • Team Leadership: provide effective leadership to the Finance Integration function and associated team, including securing necessary resource for material projects
  • Challenge and oversee the quality of execution of controls within finance and report regularly on control risks and initiatives to key stakeholders including senior finance leaders, CFO, external auditors and consultants and the Audit Committee
  • Ownership of the Financial Controls Framework policy including revisions and process / control solutions to drive a control framework and culture fit for a listed financial services organisation

The Successful Applicant

The Head of Financial Controls framework who will be based in London should have the following skillset:

  • Qualified professional (e.g. ACA, ACCA)
  • Strong controls and financial services knowledge
  • Strong understanding of finance processes, risks and controls for mid-size and listed organisations
  • Working knowledge of internal control standards and regulatory requirements across financial operations, financial statement close processes and finance IT functions
  • Strong Leadership skills and experience of managing a team and proven track record of effective influencing skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (experience writing corporate policies and documents)
  • Ability to manage internal and external stakeholders and relationships
  • Excellent IT literacy in financial systems, Excel and PowerPoint

What's on Offer

Salary range between £70,000 and £85,000 plus attractive benefits and bonus
