About Our Client

Affinity Sutton and Circle Housing are merging to form one of Europe's largest residential property businesses. With 122,000 properties it will provide homes for nearly 500,000 people. The new business will build 50,000 homes over ten years, making it one of the largest house builders in the UK. It will be formed of two main businesses: a charitable housing association and a fully commercial arm.

To achieve their growth ambitions they are looking to appoint a Head of Financial Performance and Analysis reporting to the Director of Business Partnering & Integration who will work closely with the new company's executives and senior internal stakeholders. This role will ensure that the new group has the required financial insight to make informed business decisions helping shape the future of the organisation.

Job Description

Key responsibilities will include;

  • Working with the Director of the Business Partnering and Integration team, you will provide high level advice and strategic guidance to the group on all aspects of budgeting, financial performance reporting, financial business analysis, VfM and bench marking .
  • Develop and establish a first class management information and analysis service across the organisation, working in conjunction with the Head of Business Partnering.
  • To ensure that accurate and meaningful financial performance reports can continue to be produced throughout the integration, without being adversely affected, working with colleagues across the business as necessary.
  • Leading on financial bench marking for the group, capturing comparative financial information and providing an insight into relative business performance.
  • Taking the lead on efficiency and the value for money agenda.
  • Establishing and leading an effective team, that is performance and delivery focused.

The Successful Applicant

You must be a fully qualified accountant with strong communication and the necessary gravitas to be successful in this role. Leadership experience and stakeholder management are an essential skill-set for this opportunity. Ideally you will have worked in a change or transitioning environment and have a fresh approach to financial performance. This role will give the right person a platform to display their strategic insight in front of high profile stakeholders.
