Job Description

The Head of Financial Planning & Analysis based in London will hold the following responsibilities:

Financials

  • Commercial financial analysis
  • Budget/overheads responsibility for function
  • Preparation, monitoring and revision of current year budgets
  • Preparation of monthly management report

Clients and Business Development

  • Identifies, develops opportunities to enhance the business
  • Maintains and builds a number of strategic (internal) client relationships
  • Plans and manages projects requiring considerable creativity, foresight and judgement
  • Manages projects which require cross functional co-operation
  • Manages the CRM implementation and monitoring for the Finance function
  • Delivers projects that generate tangible benefit for the business and (indirectly) external clients
  • Outcomes have 1-2 year time horizon
  • Effective liaison with other parts of the firm is critical to success
  • Represents the firm at external events

People

  • Responsible for and manages Commercial and Management Finance team
  • Shares knowledge with/provides information to colleagues and team
  • Coaching/mentoring of others

Systems and Process

  • Evaluates, adapts and improves standards, techniques and procedures
  • May be a project lead or contributor to firm projects

The Successful Applicant

The Head of Financial Planning & Analysis based in London will have had the following exposure:

Essential qualifications

  • Degree level education
  • Qualified member of an accountancy body (ACA/ACCA or CIMA) or holder of an equivalent

qualification

  • Advanced MS Office skills (particularly Excel)
  • Experience with using other reporting systems would be advantageous

Essential experience

  • Substantial post-qualified experience
  • Strong business partnering skills
  • Strong accounting skills, including IFRS 101
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong experience of management reporting and commercial finance covering: Budgeting and

forecasting, financial modelling, pricing, KPI analysis etc.

  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Demonstrable record of delivery in a Senior Finance position with exposure to FP&A, Commercial

Finance and Corporate Accounting.

  • Robust character with confidence in challenging existing protocol and stakeholders
  • Real Estate or brokerage experience is advantageous
