Job Description

The Head of Group Transformation Practice is a key hire for our client. Working cross-functionally with a range of senior business leaders, the Head of Group Transformation Practice will look to create, embed and continuously improve best practice methodologies, processes and ways of working. The Head of Group Transformation Practice will be a critical friend to the business, creating relationships with the Executive, senior leadership team and business unit leaders cross the business. This role is multi-faceted and requires an individual who can coach and inspire senior leaders in the delivery of their programmes ensuring a relentless focus on quality, execution and achievement of the transformation outcomes and benefits.

The Head of Group Transformation Practice will:

  • Ensure consistent application of project and programme standards, so that change is delivered effectively and efficiently
  • Ensure that the Group Transformation Practice team is actively monitoring the planning, execution and governance of portfolios/programmes
  • Report back on transformation activities in an effective and timely manner
  • Provide senior oversight of the most significant programme and portfolio risks & issues
  • Work with the Group Transformation senior leadership team to develop a view on programme inter-dependencies ensuring they are managed efficiently and effectively by the owners
  • Provide support and direction to the team to embed true portfolio / programme / project and change discipline
  • Create a culture of Continuous Improvement within the Group Transformation Practice team and the wider Group Transformation community, where feedback is actively sought and acted upon
  • Lead, develop and motivate the Transformation Practice team so that everyone is inspired, realises their potential and delivers superior performance in supporting the delivery of change

The Successful Applicant

To be successful in your application, you must have the following skills, experience and qualifications:

  • Proven experience of working at an Executive level in the change and transformation space;
  • Proven record of successful delivery of complex, multi-year cross-functional programmes;
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to understand and articulate the transformation agenda;
  • Extremely strong stakeholder management skills with experience in balancing & managing multiple internal 'customers' with often conflicting change agendas.
  • Confidence with established project and programme management methodologies
  • Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation and influencing skills across all levels and ability to translate programme into common language
  • Highly analytical and able to present complex data to wide audiences in a compelling way
  • Experience of managing third party suppliers
