About Our Client

My client is an award winning management consultancy focused exclusively within the finance sector.
Headquartered in London, the firms partners with many of Europe's largest banking groups, investment banks and asset managers to execute focused strategies and enterprise-wide transformation to enable major new capabilities for the risk function.

The firm provides practitioner-led advice and strategic consulting services to financial institutions in all areas of risk measurement, risk technology and regulatory compliance; leveraging an international network of over 300 industry practitioners and recognised technical experts.

Job Description

* Work with the firm's Operating Committee members to define the people strategy aligned to each of the service lines and the operations team
* Take responsibility for implementing and driving the delivery of the people strategy
* Be the HR subject matter expert, requiring limited external advice
* Ownership of the company's employee and associate related documents such as the handbooks, PSAs, NDAs and conduct annual reviews to reflect changes in employment law and alignment with best practice.
* Make sure all documentation produced by HR team is in line with the firms standard templates prior to release.
* Ensure all documentation, background checks, contract documents, …are completed and signed with required timescales and securely stored
* Deliver relevant HR related communications to all staff and associates
* Ownership of the HR processes and solution: ensure they are clearly defined/ communicated/ implemented and reviewed on a regular basis
* Definition and production of relevant MI for the HR function to be used in the Operating Committee, Advisory Board and other governance committees.
* Annual review of the salary bands and grades against industry benchmarks
* Annual review of the employee objectives setting criteria and guidelines
* Manages the annual appraisal process, bonus/ salary review and promotion discussions - provides required templates/ training for line managers/ employee communications and ensures all documentation has been delivered
* Coaches and mentors staff for any performance related issues/ provide advice to staff and managers as and when required
* Engages with the Finance team and COO to regularly review the firm's employee benefits schemes
* Assists in the selection, implementation and regular review of the company pension scheme

The Successful Applicant

-must have led an HR function
-Previous professional services/financial services background is essential
-Generalist experience including HR Strategy, HR Ops, Compensation & Benefits, Talent Management, Succession planning, learning and development and recruitment is crucial
-Ideally international exposure
-It is desirable that this person has got experience setting up HR Practice and procedures from scratch
-Candidate will need a minimum of 2:1 degree.
