Job Description

The Head of IT (Projects and Support) will report directly to the COO, and hold responsibility for spearheading a range of major IT-focussed change projects, while providing leadership to a small, yet talented team of technical support development specialists.

  • End-to-end project management of business-critical IT focussed projects, including telephony platform consolidation, CRM implementation and billing systems upgrade.
  • Responsible for guiding projects from initial scoping, through requirements gathering, development, testing and implementation.
  • Working closely with 3rd party vendors, key internal stakeholders and delivery teams to ensure projects are kept on track and in budget.
  • Oversee both project and BAU deliverable for a small, yet talented IT function made up of developers, testers, support engineers and administrators.
  • Oversee IT Service contracts to ensure each is delivering value for money and fit-for-purpose solutions.
  • Strive for continual improvement in all areas to establish robust and efficient platforms to support future growth.

The Successful Applicant

To be considered for the Head of IT role, candidates must adhere to the following:

  • Demonstrable end-to-end project management expertise.
  • Track record of leading high performing technical teams.
  • Technical understanding of IT platforms such as CRM, Networks & Telecoms and billing systems.
  • Track record of on-time and under-budget delivery of systems implementation projects.
  • Prince2, MSP or other Project Management Certification.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work with, negotiate with, and influence internal and external contacts up to board level.
