My client are a renowned brand operating in the travel and tourism industry, headquartered in the South West but with a presence throughout Europe.

Job Description

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure ownership of all Revenue P&L and Balance Sheet Accounts.
  • Ensure high quality and accurate revenue numbers as well as an understanding of the drivers of revenue performance.
  • Ensure all accounts are reconciled monthly.
  • Make changes to the accounting so that all ticket/passenger associated revenue is being accounted for via Revera.
  • Creation and adjustment of accounting policies
  • Understanding of the transactional impact and the accounting that is applied within revera and its impact on the accounting in X3
  • Take ownership of reporting processes, including month end, specific commercial and operational reporting, ad hoc reporting, etc.
  • Develop reporting capabilities on an ongoing basis
  • Ensure processes for ongoing and ad hoc reporting are embedded, including supporting of business partners and overhead reporting
  • Detailed review and explanation for all audit reports.
  • Ability to verbalise the accounting transactions at a detailed level with the auditors and justify all revenue accounting entries
  • Management of the changeover to IFRS15 and any other accounting standard changes
  • Lead the revenue and Reporting team, ensuring continual development especially in terms growth of knowledge and skill within the team

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:

  • Experience managing a group management reporting function / GFA
  • Experience within a complex revenue accounting environment
  • Knowledge and experience of working with Finance systems
  • Strong MS Excel skills
  • Excellent reporting skills - ability to understand and clearly articulate financial results
  • Stakeholder engagement
  • Managing a team
  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA or equivalent
  • Extended accounting qualifications would be an advantage
  • Self-starter and highly motivated
  • Able to work under pressure and manage priorities

What's on Offer

This role can pay a basic salary of up to £65,000, plus additional benefits.
