About Our Client

Our client is a Berkshire based Retail Asset Services organisation responsible for the site management of a town centre and retail assets.

Job Description

The Head of Marketing's responsibilities would include

  • To produce a strategic marketing plan for drawing on the unique catchment potential incorporating B2C and B2B initiatives.
  • To collaborate with creative and media agencies to produce innovative consumer initiatives to this end
  • To assist with the marketing of the town centre
  • To conduct research into customer demographics to better understand customer base
  • To manage the annual marketing budget striving to deliver exceptional return on investment
  • To report results with a focus on ROI and quantifiable benefits
  • To act as the key ambassador and thought-leader for the organisation and the landlord
  • To understand retailer business strategies and objectives, and build relationships at head office
  • To forge links with local community organisations and in particular local information technology
  • To support the leasing teams where requested with supporting marketing material
  • To develop and implement in liaison with Council a Town Wide events
  • To support commercialisation objectives and initiatives, working closely with peers to brand
  • To manage the marketing team in liaison with the estate team and as required
  • To liaise with key stakeholders at varying levels of seniority
  • To assist in the marketing of regeneration

The Successful Applicant

To be considered for this Head of Marketing role you must have senior strategic experience within the retail sector. This is a client facing role, you must be confident and have excellent presentation skills as you will be expected to justify the strategic direction of marketing and to report results at board level and to build and maintain client relationships. You must be creative, be confident in managing creative agencies/ individuals and be able to work under pressure. Strong project and team management experience within the marketing industry is required with an excellent understanding of all marketing disciplines along with good industry trends awareness.

  • CIM accreditation preferred
