Job Description

As the Head of Operations you will be responsible for ensuring that the Production, logistics, planning, engineering & quality departments continue to improve. You will be working closely with the international leadership in order to deliver on group wide strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To ensure service levels and operational performance is delivered included unit cost management
  • Ensure appropriate staffing levels available for the required packing requirements via permanent and temporary employees
  • Ensure ultimately all HSE, Quality, service levels and budget costs are delivered
  • To ensure the site meets operational targets and maintains control of cost base and reduction in cost per unit
  • To continuously drive down costs whilst ensuring quality and service are not compromised
  • To review operational processes to ensure centre productivity
  • Ensure compliance to Standard Operating Procedures
  • Responsible for all issues relating to Health and Safety and the Environment
  • To interact with existing internal and external customers, as required, to ensure the operation is pro-active and customer focused, ensuring customer compatibility and the protection of customer service level agreements and operating costs
  • Control and coordination of the third party warehouse facility
  • Ensure cGDP regulations is complied with
  • Ensure all quality inspections, CAPA deviations, temperature excursions are resolved within agreed time lines

The Successful Applicant

A Site Manager, Head of Operations or Operations Director with experience managing a cross functional team within a FMCG/ fast paced manufacturing environment with:

  • Ideally a degree qualification in a technical discipline
  • Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Experience
  • Demonstrable achievements of delivering projects on time, to budget & in full
  • The ability to drive performance through KPIs during a period of change
  • Strong Budget Management
  • Proven customer liaison skills
  • Ability to motivate self and team
  • Problem solving skills
  • Strong leadership skills
