Our client is a successful company operating on a global scale.

Job Description

  • Implement and continue to improve on, a suitably standardised procurement team & process ensuring good alignment with internal and external customers. Devise a standard that has to be achieved to ensure effective procurement of new materials.

  • Within a cross-functional team lead and execute on supply agreements or equivalent contracts with suppliers for starting materials, manufacturing consumables and finished products.

  • Review and monitor all supplier agreements (components, API, packaging materials, product, Contract Manufacturing Organisations (CMOs), etc) to ensure that the company and its suppliers are operating to the contractual arrangements.

  • Institute and build long-term professional relationships with the supplier base, building in KPI's and other deliverable standards to enable on-going proactive management of the supply chain.

  • Through a cross function team lead and establish cost of goods models and maintain these for all products.

  • Lead regular review with suppliers to establish cost savings and price reductions.

  • Establish a risk management and/or business continuity plan to ensure business interests are protected at all times.

  • Produce frequent performance reports to demonstrate that suppliers are performing satisfactorily.

  • Establish and subsequently ensure compliance with all procurement policies and procedures, such that there is an auditable trail.

The Successful Applicant

  • Graduate level or above, preferably in supply chain management or industrial engineering. Ideally APICS or CIPS qualified.
  • Proven background in Pharmaceutical, Medical or Electronics Procurement environment. Ideally working within manufacturing.
  • Knowledgeable of new product introduction, artwork development & implementation and customer service processes.
  • Strong stakeholder relationship management skills; able to build and sustain long lasting business relationships. Ideally in managing third party vendors e.g. contract manufacturers.
  • Direct line management with a track record or solid leadership capabilities.
  • Results orientated with a track record of delivery. Ideally, demonstrable at delivering sustainable improvement in supply chain performance through supplier management.
